The website for my running club, Gosport Road Runners, needs to be redone.

It's satisfactory for what it does but it's far too static and relies too much on me to update it (and I've moved away from the local area for a while at least). There is also the issue that a lot of the photos and comment from club members is now on Facebook after I took down the phpBB forum that was too big for what was needed and attracted too much spam.

It's not totally clear how to connect BlogPress - a cheap blogging app on the iPhone - to a Drupal blog. There's a bit of tinkering needed on the Drupal side to enable XML-RPC and the Blog API along with the permissions and then the setting up of BlogPress.

In a moment of wondering how to get the 'Read more' link in teasers I came across a module that does this. I felt that that would be overkill and so I had a poke around in node.tpl.php and found that, unsurprisingly, there are the two variables you need to do this easily from within a template ($teaser is a boolean for whether a node is a teaser or full, and $node_url is for the link).

The site, which runs on Drupal, has a theme that was inspired by the photo I took of Sydney Opera House and by a document I saw a few years ago in a book where the large clear sans-serif typeface was underlined to the width of the page by a thin line giving a strong link to the paragraphs underneath which were all indented the same amount giving a strong vertical line.
